Building homes around the people who will live in them.
Constructing architect-designed homes with care, clarity and an understanding of how they should be built.
Building a new home is an opportunity to create a place around the way you want to live.
Q Home & Garden constructs individually designed homes from architect-supplied drawings and technical information, working with the wider professional team where required.
The following projects were managed and overseen on behalf of a third party, by our construction Director Tibor Pokai.
A new home begins long before construction starts.
Some clients come to us with planning permission, detailed drawings and an established professional team. Others are at an earlier stage and are still developing the project.
Whether the project is at an early stage or already well developed, we start by understanding what you want the completed home to provide, the design that has been developed and the information already available.
Understanding the design, not simply following the drawings.
The architect establishes the design and architectural intent. We construct from the architect-supplied drawings, specifications and technical information, working with the wider professional team where required. Our construction experience helps us understand those relationships, identify practical questions early and recognise when further information or clarification is required.
You should feel comfortable asking why.
Technical knowledge should create clarity, not confusion. A new home contains thousands of individual decisions, and you should not need to become a construction specialist to understand the important ones.
The house does not stop at the external wall.
A new home does not exist independently of the property around it. Because our experience extends across both building and landscape construction, we understand those relationships from both sides of the external wall.
